1. You say it's a "CafePress shop." What does that mean? What is CafePress?
CafePress (CP) is a company that makes imprinted items with user-supplied artwork, making and selling each item on demand. Anyone can sign up for an account with them and do it themself. CP also lets the user create an online storefront, or shop, from which anyone can order. Each individual shopkeeper uploads his own artwork, determines which items it will appear on. CP handles all the money, manufacturing and shipping, passing the shopkeeper's profits on to him at intervals.
Someone buying from a CP shop can order from other CP shops at the same time and all are conveniently handled from one shopping cart, with one checkout, allowing the buyer to save on shipping charges. This arrangement also allows one shopkeeper to sell item's from another CP shop while earning commisions.
2. I see some designs on certain items but not on others. Can I have a design I like put on an item I don't see it on?
Yes, IF it's one of my designs. Just ask me and I'll set it up. When I'm selling another shopkeeper's items, though, I have no control over that, unfortunately.
3. I'd like something that's not quite what you have already. Can you customize a design?
Yes. Provided you're looked at one of my designs, I can change colors, wording, fonts, placement, add team or group names, etc. If you want a design on back instead of or in addition to the front of the items, I can do that, provided it's an item that CP offers that on. You name it, I can probably do it. Just ask.
4. How much more will that cost?
CP has a $3 or so surcharge for two-sided printing on most items on which they offer it. I personally don't charge at all to customize.
5. Can you use my exisiting artwork or photos?
Yes, provided you have the legal rights to whatever you send me. CP is very protective about intellectual property rights. Don't ask me, for example, to put the Nike swoosh on something - they simply won't let me do it.
